September 2024 - Today, Croatia
Right after finishing Engineering School, I signed a permanent contract with Orqa ensuring continuity from the two prior internships I completed with the company during my fourth and fifth academic years.
Driven by a long-standing passion for FPV Drones I serve as the Product Owner for UAV quadcopter core electronics for the Defense, Enterprise and Consumer market. I hold product ownership over all key hardware components, including Flight Controllers (FCs), Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs), and the proprietary battery ecosystem.
A major KPI for my role is the successful launch and market scaling of two core product lines:
Orqa 2020 stack (a complete system solution).
Orqa H7 Quadcore Flight Controller.
These represent Orqa's flagship products, deployed in thousands of drones monthly with constantly increasing volumes.
Thanks to the learning model at CESI Engineering School, I was able to undertake multiple, targeted internships throughout my academic years. I really enjoyed this approach as it allowed me to directly apply theoretical knowledge and to discover and rapidly acquire specific, industry-relevant skills in dynamic professional settings.
6 months Internship at Orqa :
March 2024 - September 2024. Osijek, Croatia
This six-month final-year internship was my second consecutive period with Orqa. During this time, I effectively stepped into the Product Owner role, initiating work on new product lines. This involved gaining critical experience in professional management and organization principles. Crucially, my engineering background allowed me to maintain close technical proximity to the development and manufacturing processes.
4 months Internship at Orqa :
September 2022 - January 2023. Osijek, Croatia
First time doing an Internship in a domain that is actually my main hobby. I absolutely loved working here on Software development for the Company's Flight Simulator (Tweaking Physics, 3D modeling) and testing Hardware (Drone Flight Controllers).
4 months Internship at SIFAM :
January-April 2022. Cagnes-sur-Mer, France
Internship in IT development, working with Java, C#, Python, SQL Requests.
4 months Internship at ADI Informatique :
April-July 2021. Caillan, France
Computer technician internship: in-depth knowledge of Windows and MacOS, hardware and software maintenance operations for companies and individuals.
November 2021 - Today, Based in Lyon, France.
Selling High Performance Carbon fiber frames for Consumer FPV Drones.
Managed with 2 collaborators/Friends :
Stephane Vigourt, Industrial Designer
Clement Redoux, Graphic Designer
And working in close proximity with the European FPV Store Drone-FPV-Racer.com for Manufacturing, Logistics and Storage.
The 3 of us are multitasking but I'm the Product Owner of all of our catalog, overall I'm mostly taking care of :
Product strategy, defining technical specs and target customers,
Marketing, communication on Socials and customer support,
IT/Website maintenance,
Maintaining Products by designing 3D Prints to fit the newest electronics coming out.
The Kayoumini 2.5", biggest commercial success of the Brand with thousands of Units sold across Europe and America.
2016 - Today, Digital project.
Developing and selling third part content (DLC) for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Started very early at the Age of 13 this solo project allowed me to get my hands on various skills for the first time such as 3D Modeling, texturing, using SDK and website creation.
I used to publish Sceneries as Freewares and managed to turn it into profits as my skills grew by switching to a Payware model and by working with partner shops.
No new scenery has been released since 2022 due to my attention being focused on different projects, but I'm still maintaining the website and it is still generating decent passive income to this day.
My passion for flying machines started early, and in 2019 I discovered the vast world of FPV Drones. This domain—including Multicopters, Wings, and Planes—sparked a serious, ongoing interest.
As you can see from my role at Orqa, this passion went from a hobby to my full-time job. The FPV field is so wide that the learning curve is endless, and the huge amount of knowledge I’ve gained from this single interest is extremely valuable for my career.
This experience has directly led to a strong and diverse technical skillset, including:
3D Design & Manufacturing: Proficient in 3D Modeling and production using Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) and other 3D printing methods. Retired Ender 3 user I've been through rough terrains and had to dive deep into the hobby to keep printing !
Electronics & Assembly: Advanced skill in PCB Soldering, circuit troubleshooting, component repair, and complex electronics assembly.
Firmware & Software: In-depth knowledge of Flight Controller (FC) firmware (e.g., Betaflight, iNav), configuration, and performance tuning.
Aero-Dynamics & Physics: Practical understanding of aero-dynamic principles as they apply to drone design, component selection, and optimization.
System Integration: Expertise in integrating all electronic systems (motors, ESCs, receivers, video transmission) to create a reliable, working platform.
3D Printed FPV Wing running iNav.
Urban Exploration, one of the side hobbies FPV got me hooked to.
I'm known as Platy on socials, here are my Instagram and Youtube where I'm the most active.
I initially documented my FPV journey as a new learner and it evolved over the years into a professional filmmaking activity as my flight and video skills grew, leveraging the unique cinematographic capabilities of FPV Quadcopters.
I am recognized as an aggressive proximity pilot, specializing in highly dynamic shots such as mountain surfing and drift chasing. This distinctive style has successfully built a dedicated audience and helped me to connect with pilots, share technical knowledge and experiences, and forge valuable personal friendships and professional relationships within the industry.
This track record has allowed me to develop a strong portfolio as a filmmaking drone operator and secure professional, income-generating work. My experience includes shooting numerous professional gigs, notably for major Drifting events in Croatia.
The core expertise gained from FPV systems provides the foundation for my work in robotics and RC engineering. I consistently apply this knowledge to hardware projects outside of aviation, including designing the full mechanical drivetrain for a custom electric skateboard which I'm still using as a daily commuter. This work naturally extends to specialized electronic solutions such as DIY power banks using automotive BMS technology for reliable charging of flight packs. I also developed a dedicated FPV ground station with a rotating receiver head for enhanced long-distance communication.
On that same idea I've documented on YouTube the build of a solar-powered iNav glider for endurance flight which you can find here :
This portfolio demonstrates a deep, practical mastery of electronics, mechanics, and system integration.
My interest in content creation and filmmaking naturally extends to photography. I really enjoy it, especially focusing on motorsport photography, which is a great complement to the dynamic style of my FPV work.
I obtained my Glider Pilot License at 16, and have since logged over one hundred hours of solo cross-country flights in the Southern French Alps. This sport is all about the pursuit of the best strategy, is highly competitive and demands the mastery of real-time aero-meteorological tactical decision-making which are aspects of it that I appreciate a lot.
I'm not flying as much as I used to due to the lack of infrastructure and equipment in Croatia but I still keep my license up to date to fly casually when have free time back home in France, which keeps these sharp, real-world skills in practice.
